Consortium

Bologna Translation Service comprises a dynamic industry-academia consortium, each member of which brings significant experience and expertise to some facet of the service:

Cross Language CrossLang
CrossLang acts as coordinator and will lead WP3 (Web Application and User Interface) and WP7 (Evaluation). CrossLang will also take responsibility for WP8 (Dissemination) and WP9 (Exploitation) and contribute to WP 2 (Data Acquisition and Preparation) and WP 4 (Machine Translation Components) with a special focus on Dutch.
Convertus Convertus AB
Convertus will be the leading partner of WP 5 (Automated Post-Editing) and WP 6 (System Integration). It will contribute to WP 2 (Data Acquisition and Preparation) and WP 4 (Machine Translation Components) with a special focus on German and Finnish.
Applied Language Solutions Applied Language Solutions
ALS will lead WP 2 (Data Acquisition and Preparation) and WP 4 (Machine Translation Components), using their expertise in the development of statistical MT systems and in the pre-processing necessary in order to train such systems. ALS will focus on the creation of the French and Chinese engines.
Koç University Koç University
Koç University will contribute to WP 2 (Data Acquisition and Preparation) and WP 4 (Machine Translation Components) focussing specifically on Turkish and the morphological pre-processing of the text for that language.
Eleka Eleka Ingeniaritza Lingusitikoa, S.L.
Eleka will be responsible will contribute to WP 2 (Data Acquisition and Preparation) and WP 4 (Machine Translation Components) collecting data and building engines for Spanish and Portuguese.
